Don’t Get Distracted From Taking Care of Yourself and Your Hair
We recently had a regular client come in who needed to have some repair work done on the hairpieces we created for her. She has not been to our studio for over 8 months. The minute we saw her, we know she wasn’t doing well. As a very busy entrepreneur with 3 children, she is juggling a lot, and it was visible. She had lost a bit of weight, she looked haggard, and her hair which was thin, to begin with, was even thinner, dull and needed to be colored.
The reason we decided to write about this is because we see this happen with our clients often. As women, we take time to juggle life, and in doing so, we take time away from ourselves. Since we usually take on the nurturing role the challenge is figuring out how can we do it all with work and raising a family while still feeling confident and know that you look your best.
That is why we are strong advocates for self-care. Take the time to take care of yourself, whatever that means to you. Be it going to the movies alone, getting a message or just sitting out in your backyard or local park and listening to your favorite songs on your headphones. And if you don’t think your hair looks as good as it should, be honest with yourself and admit that you need some help with it from an expert. Do what you need to do to take care of you.
Throughout all the madness of life, remember that you are a priority as well and deserve to be treated as such.
