If Ever There Was a Time For Empathy
A week ago, our country was on the tail-end of one of the most intense presidential campaigns. Ever. Since that night, this hot topic has become even bigger and more far more complex. Everyone is pointing figures, while the president-elect has gotten to work building their cabinet. Throughout it all, women have been dragged through the mud. Every woman I know has dealt with feeling divided, beat up, defensive and/or weary.
I don’t want to turn this into a political post. I just want to remind everyone of the magic of empathy. This happened for a reason. Perhaps if we take a moment now, to put our affiliations and social media profiles aside to talk honestly and respectfully with each other and REALLY listen, we will understand how we got here.
